Pivot

As I worked, I realized this expression needs to stay intact. There will be no shredding this time. That idea will be realized soon, but not on this piece. And not on this fabric. I think it's too floaty for what I have in mind.

This face did start as a "selfie", but I emphasized certain lines and omitted hair and lashes so it took on a different look. I'm more interested in capturing an expression than I am in replicating a face.

Here's a jump-scare for ya...!

I'm calling this expression Troubled. More of an internal selfie, I suppose.

In case you're wondering, I do still use my longarm for quilts!

A large-scale tropical flower finished this travel-themed t-shirt quilt beautifully.

And now I must decide my next move. Can I stitch another face before loading the next quilt?

  1. I think it's always a good choice to listen to the project and pivot. I am enjoying the progression and look forward to what comes next, whether you can do it before the next client quilt or later!
